纹身TATTOO

知道 tattoo 是什么东东吗？对了，就是电影里黑社会成员身上的纹身图案，不太讨人喜欢，是吧？不过，现在到了夏天，我们在街上到处可以看到身上有 tattoo 的美眉们。tattoo 如何能够变成一种时髦呢？哪些美眉们难道不怕疼吗？哈哈，其实现在我们所看到的那种 tattoo 不是永久性的，而是用印度的一种树叶碾成的浆汁画出来的，这种树叶名叫 Mehndi，所以啊，这种 tattoo 一点儿也不疼，并且只维持两三个星期，又被称为 Mehndi tattoos。

tattoo 一词源于玻利尼西亚的 tattau，指“划下印记”的意思。最早是在皮肤内植入刺激物，使皮肤表面长出突起的，永久的疤痕。而现代的 tattoo 则是由新西兰的毛利人和日本人不断完善发展起来的一种色彩艳丽，图案精美的身体装饰。真正的 tattoo 是永久性的，但也可以人为去除，只是去除的过程相当缓慢而痛苦。在西方国家，这是一个相当有争议的词，多少体现了文化的巨大差异：一般在宗教国家，人们认为 tattoo 是粗俗的代名词，国家甚至专门发布了禁止纹身的法令；而在自由思潮风行的国家，有人却将 tattoo 视为时髦。无论所受待遇如何，tattoo 已被广泛用作赛马的标记。同时，在医学美容领域，它也被用来消除不雅的胎记。听说现在还有人专门研究 tattoo。说不定哪天，tattoo 真的会被人们作为艺术接受呢！
